I wondered if this one might get a little heat

I didn’t make up the theory of colour and personality. I wish I had. I’d write a big book about it. Actually, colorists noticed these tendencies 50 years ago, probably more. But, look,
- 80% of the people in the world are a season blend and so a personality blend; an unpredictable and unique equation made up of 10,000 variables.
- OF COURSE, these are averages, and IRL, there are few members of the population right on the median line; Angel’s kids may be pure Summers now, but will change with maturity, as the world influences them and as their coloring deepens (ok, ok, I’ll stop) ; if the pure average were so common, we’d use it to analyze body colouring. Same with eye patterns. Same with hair colour. We recognize that there are some shared traits, but otherwise, it’s just for a diversion. In a similar way, the same personality types are drawn to certain professions, or it creates them – without intending to reduce anyone to a set of 5 traits or less, have you met 5 surgeons?
- why is it such a stretch to imagine that the genes that code character and body type couldn’t be on the same chromosomes? they are in animals; Chihuahuas DO have some shared personality traits, I can assure you, though there is still wide variation among individuals.

I know this is thin ice, a bit like the discussion of whether male and female brains are inherently different at birth (my position : how could they not be? they’re bathed in different chemical soups) , or whether personality is dictated by genetics or environment (my position : both; the true answer to most questions is on the middle line; or maybe, I’m just not an extremist about anything… not enough Winter in me (ha!)).

Let’s identify another slippery slope : why would anyone think that people of the same race are of similar seasons? Are all dark-skinned people Winter? Nooooo. Can you have light-skinned Winters? Sure.

I wasn’t going to put up the other True Children posts because I really don’t want to offend anyone. I tried to make it a little funny to convey that it wasn’t color gospel. Maybe it’s color porn.

But hey, I don’t mind a little heat. I’ll maybe just fix the title.

I always thank you for your thoughts and comments. I do sincerely apologize if I have oversimplified (good word, Spirilla) the infinite and fascinating complexities of human character, each of which deserves equal respect and equal voice.

I can accept that simplifying 12 color boxes can fit all of us all over the world, but there’s no way that can be done for characters. The complexity there is not to be simplified, otherwise we throw the child with the water.
