The Best Thing About Aging 4

April 25, 2010

Since this is No. 4, you get that I think aging is a good deal. I LIKE what it lets us become.

At 50, I understand the secret to getting somewhere : keep doing it.

Play all the mind games you need to, but there’s the bottom line.

We can believe that we self-create, co-create (The Secret), or God-create (The Bible). Whichever polarity feels best, the value proposition remains the same.

We can intend, allow, accept, imagine, expect, pray, hope, buy more books about achievement, or buy lottery tickets. We can meditate on the self, be one with the Universe, or fly with angels. Whatever it takes to keep at the doing of it.

Only the first 25 years of marriage are hard.

We squander grace till we’ve known disgrace.

Keep your head down and do the work.

A couple of years, you get calls for expert advice, but you really just outlasted many people.

Whether all the signs point North or South, stay on the path. Just make a move. Don’t worry if it’s wrong or right.

When nothing is happening, there’s just one thing to do. Sling more energy around.

If you keep messing with the energy pot, something can’t NOT happen.

Motivation isn’t a given.

Peace and trust come from the confidence that the right thing will happen. Life has demonstrated that more often than not.

Get in for the long haul.

The young ones are pretty and still wondering what else they are. If they’re lucky, they’ll get to be us one day.

Like this one—succinct but makes all the points.

Got something to say? I hope so.
