Sites To Know : Jacquie Lawson E-Cards
June 21, 2008
These are said to be the most elegant e-cards on the web, and they are. These cards are unique and remarkable.
The first card that I saw, indeed that many people saw, was the Christmas card with Jacquie’s dog, Chudleigh. The card is called Christmas Cottage. Chudleigh now has a wide selection of cards and his own About page , as you will see .
After the appearance of the Christmas card, Jacquie was soon flooded with requests for more cards. There are now cards for every occasion and every one is simply lovely. At $16 for a 2yr membership ($10 for 1 year) that allows unlimited use of the site, you will have many reasons to smile.
You can’t help but feel a boost just watching the card unfold. Children, whose happiness is complete when they receive any sort of mail, would be thrilled to receive one. You could send a card with a different theme and message every day, each personalized with your own text.
I have not met a child yet that tires of watching these. Some of the cards are more interactive, where clicking on certain objects makes things happen, but every one is joyful. In our family, many relatives live far from one another. Sending these cards to nieces and nephews, and other family members, is a wonderful way to reach out and keep a connection.
The music is perfect. It enhances the magical effect. The whole experience feels powdered with sparkly dust. Click on the card below, turn up the volume on your computer, and notice how happy you feel watching the card open out.
