Janice,
Now that's disappointing. Still worth bugging them about it so they'll bring the shoes back next season. If you know anyone in Freeport, or any of the other Bean retail stores, they could have a look for you. I'm sure the style is still out there on the Sale shelves.
Meantime, have a look at the Clarks site that Gina mentions above. There were many styles to choose from.

After reading about the LLBean perfect indoor shoes, I immediately went to the website to order a pair. Unfortunately, they are all sold out in my size 7, except for the red ones. Ugh! I emailed them to find out when they may be available--not till NEXT fall!!! I am soooo disappointed!!

Gina,

I actually began by looking for a clog. I even bought some nice knee socks that would look nifty. I tried every pair at Bean's but they all looked funny on my feet. They didn't have nearly as many open-heeled shoe versions as Clark's does.

The link above didn't take me to the clogs on the Clarks site but I did find them easily. They have loads of styles. I may yet find a use for those knee-socks !

Maria,

...and we look better than ever!

Good morning! From a very cold Europe...

The last para, especially phrase 2 and 3: you speak for many women there, including me! Thanks! We do get wiser with "advancing age", don't we? Comfort first...

Yes indeedy those are some nice shoes. If I ever get back to Freeport I intend to pick up a pair.
In the mean time I have found that I am quite fond of my Clark's clogs that go from an outdoor shoe to a slipper. I wear them the first two or three years as an outdoor shoe and then, because basically the things are indestructible, I wear them around in lieu of slippers. Mom always said you can't get any work done if you don't have your feet dressed. Mushy slippers are not dressing your feet according to her so I found that these were acceptable. Check them out...worth every penny...and always look good no matter what you wear with the exception of an evening gown but who wears those anyway?

Now I have something new to look for..thanks
