EMPOWERED ATTRACTION IS GETTING A MAKEOVER

Those of you whom I have the privilege to know personally know how much writing for this blog has come to mean to me. With no end in sight, and because “change” and “learn” are my two favorite words, this site is going to be getting a new look. Here is an idea of what you can expect:

The new look of Empowered Attraction

A blog, or any website, is made up of two separate entities. One is the content, the material that is written in the articles. The second is the look of the site, called the theme. The theme is really just an overlay for the content, like clothing on a body.

Some themes are easy to customize and some are very limited. The biggest shortcoming of the present theme is that it can’t (easily) display a Welcome -type article on the Homepage, as well as an excerpt from the most recent article that changes every time a new one is added. Having to click to get to the Most Recent Articles page uses up your time when it should not have to.

In the theme above, you see the title of the Welcome article halfway down the page and that will not change. The top left container will always show you the latest article, so that will change each time a new one is added. I’ll keep a page called Most Recent Articles so you won’t have to navigate through each category to see what’s new since your last visit. There will also be the choice of getting an email each time something is added so you don’t miss anything.

The site is still in development. There are a few things yet to be worked out, like, um, getting the name of the site to appear in the header at the top. The new theme should become live in a week or two.
