I think Lora Alexander is great with color analysis. It's fun to look at Pretty Your World. You are a really difficult person to analyze. Your skin looks warm toned, but the close-up of your eye reveals definite cool tones. I'm not surprised that you ended up being a Dark/Deep Winter.

Hi, Glenda,

Thanks for the comment. Part of color analysis is quite scientific, really a process of elimination in some ways. The other part is completely an art form.

Sometimes, I'm not sure the 12 seasons is enough - especially in the Soft category. It seems to take in very many types of coloring that I find quite distinct. But there has to be a limit or it becomes unmanageable.

Once you get where you fit in the 12, you can play a little and decide where along the spectrum you fit in best. Maybe it's a little like the signs of the Zodiac in that all 12 are quite distinct but depending on where you fit in the calendar, you may share some traits with one of your neighbors.

I have a lot of color in my skin (but very little in my cheeks which is an Autumn thing; Spring has a lot of cheek color usually; Summer often has no color anywhere) and can wear many colors of the Deep Autumn very well. Too soft and I wash out.

I hope you are able to get your colors and swatches done soon! It transforms your shopping experience when you have your colors in your hand.

Wow; great article. Thanks for allowing us to see your analysis pictures. I've always wondered about the way people appear so changed by hair and makeup colors and you can't even guess their 'real' coloring. :)
I also appreciate the clarification about the seasons. I started reading about them many years ago ~ ;ate 80s, eary 90s ~ and am still not sure exactly what season I fit as I get a different one depending on which trait I'm using! 12 seasons makes much more sense. I've put the analysis on my "really want" list.... hopefully I can afford it in the near future!
Thanks again for all the help!
